Bullshit Bingo: What the Bleep Do We Know!?
That's right! The Students' Skeptics Society had a screening of What the Bleep Do We Know!?, the pinnacle of new age quantum nonesense.
Of course we couldn't do that with a straight face, so we arranged a game of Bullshit Bingo (our nicely modified version of buzzword bingo) as an entertaining exercise in critical thinking. The winner received a subscription to Skeptical Inquirer magazine.
Players were given bingo sheets with 16 fallacies or buzzwords drawn randomly from 22, as well as an explanation of all 22 fallacies/buzzwords. The winner was the person who first spotted all 16 on their sheet. You can download a pdf with the buzzwords here (in Norwegian).
The sequel, What the Bleep!? Down the Rabbit Hole, is available for our members on DVD (of course with our Bullshit Bingo tables) from our library.
For some reason there's no part 4.
For those of you who can't stomach watching the film, but still want to know what it's all about, Skeptico's review of the film is worth a read:
