The organization PSAiT was created in a bit funny way . Some Pakistani students realized a need for a comon mailing list since during the week we usually contacted each other via eamil only, since our faculties were separate. One of our companions, Afzal Hussain created an email list of pakistanis on his user calling it "coolguys" so that messages went to everybody. Some of us got the idea to apply for an "coolguys mailing list" that we could use to write down jokes, plan the weekends, debates on relevant issues and other "crap". Unfortunatly the University authourities didn't like the name "coolguys" so Imran Mushtaq, our at that time, senior comp.sci expert and "nerd", gave them the name PSAiT (Pakistani Student Association in Trondheim). All this historic things happend during desember 1995 and January 1996. Its importent to have in mind that the local chapter of PSAI had existed under the kind leadership of Muhammed Imran Mustaq from 1991. He had also in the school year 1992-1993 created an imran-mari-list where he "disturbed" all pakistanis in Norway at that time on the net so that he would not feel lonely here close to the polar circle. The homepage of PSAiT was created in preparation for the motivation seminar 1996 (which was held at the University of Oslo) so that a lot of people from college would apply NIT/NTNU. Imran Mustaq, Afzal Hussain, Saqib Rana and Irfan Ahmed stood for the work on the homepage in the begining.
