Who are we?
What does Drammens-Ølets Venner mean? It can be translated to : The
friends of the beer from Drammen.
We are a society for students enjoying beer from the Aass
brewery. In Trondheim we have under 100 members, but country-wide we
have about 16.000 members, making Drammes-Ølets Venner the second
largest beer society in the world.
Trondheim, the third largest city in Norway, is located in the middle
of the country, about 500 kilometers
north of Oslo.

Aass bryggeri(brewery) is the oldest brewery in Norway and was founded in
1834. The brewery is located by the river of Drammen in the city of
Drammen. Drammen is
the 6th largest city in Norway, located about 50 kilometers
south-west of Oslo.
The beer is, of cource, brewed in accordance with the German purity law of 1516. According
to the law, beer should only be brewed on malt, hop, yeast and water.
