Right now the shipping industry is focusing on Research and Development to develop technology that reduces environmental impact and increases energy efficiency. Through this unique course you will come to understand important aspects in this field. The main focus will be on emissions to air from ship in normal operation, but we will also briefly cover topics such as antifouling, ballast water, sewage and garbage, noise etc.
This will not only be a mind opening and inspiring course, it will also be a unique way for you to visit our majestic mountains and fjords. Norway is an enchanting country of trolls, long days of the sun, rich in fish and oil. You'll get to visit companies focusing on green shipping, visit UNESCO world-heritage sites along with experiencing merrymaking the Viking-way. So come to Norway!
